Building Planning and Zoning
Approved Building Permits are required for any new construction as well as modifications to structure exteriors. This includes but is not limited to homes, garages, storage buildings, fences, decks, patios and driveways. The building permit applications can be downloaded here
Upon receipt of your application, the City will review, and either approve or deny within 7-10 business days. If your building permit is approved, you have 90 days to initiate construction, and it must be completed one year from the date of approval. For other questions, please contact the City Office.

Notes:
- There is a $11.00 fee for administration costs for filing deeds.
- Requests for burials during the month of November through April must be made two days prior of burial and/or services (no less than 48 hours) due to potential inclement weather and the ability to open the burial space. Burials during these months may be subject to an additional $100.00 fee if grave thawing is necessary.
- Requests must be made prior to 12:00 noon on Fridays for burial on weekends and/or burials for Monday, with the exceptions of burials during the months of November through April.
- There will be no burials on Sundays.

Recycling Trailer is located on the North side of the Community Center in Ainsworth. There are fees charged at the Transfer Station for small appliances, construction debris, mattresses, etc. It is best to call and speak with the Transfer Station to get those rates.
